David Ervin Rodenberg, 92, was born to Ervin and Emma (Seba) Rodenberg on November 25, 1928, on a farm southwest of Drummond and passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 26, 2020.
He attended Barr School and graduated from Drummond High School.
He married Charlaine "Mitzi" Miller of Hunter in 1960, and lived on a farm south of Drummond. David was a lifelong farmer in the Drummond area, retiring in 2013. He was also a carpenter, a pilot, and served on several boards as a lifelong member of the Salem United Methodist Church. He also served on the Drummond Co-op board and the Del Norte Cemetery board.
He took many mission trips to Mexico, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Alaska with the United Methodist Volunteers in Mission.
He is survived by his son Mark and wife Carole, of Drummond; daughter Lori Copenhaver and husband Kevin of Enid; grandchildren Shannon Rodenberg of Fairland; Shelby Rodenberg Hughes, of Stillwater; Skyler Rodenberg, of Stillwater; and Scott Rodenberg and his wife McKenna, of Drummond; and his brother Jim Rodenberg and wife Beverly, of Owasso.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mitzi, his parents and brother Kenneth Rodenberg, and wife Gloria.
Due to the COVID crisis, a memorial service will be held at a later time.
Memorials in David's name can be made to the Salem United Methodist Church of Drummond with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
