Robert Alex “Boob” Rodd, Jr.
April 27, 1964 ~ Aug. 19, 2023

 Robert Alex “Boob” Rodd, Jr., 59, went home peacefully to be with his Savior on Aug. 19, 2023, surrounded by his family in Kingfisher.

He was born April 27, 1964, in Hastings, Neb., to Robert Rodd, Sr., and Patti (Bridges) Rodd. He grew up in Deerfield, Kan., and attended Deerfield Schools and graduated from Deerfield High School.

He attended Garden City Community College and Fort Hays State University.

He then began his career working for gas companies, the first one being KN Energy and he was currently employed at ONEOK gas company as a mechanic supervisor.

He married Tami Michel on April 19, 1986. Together, they had three children, Ryan, Aaron and Paige. They were married for 22 years.

On March 17, 2012, he married Amy Sanchez and together they had two girls, ZayLynn, and Tayalei.

They were married for 12 years.

Boob loved his family, his kids and grandkids so much and was always there to support and care for them anytime he could.

He was a huge KU basketball fan, loved football and was good at fixing things. He was a big jokester and always made people laugh.

He was a perfectionist and the job wasn’t finished until it was done right.

He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and always doing upgrades to it.

He loved people and he didn’t know a stranger.

He loved the Lord and attended Lakin Assembly of God Church from 2010-2018, where he served and greeted everyone who walked through the doors.

He was also a part of the children’s ministry alongside his wife and he drove the bus to help get kids to and from church.

In 2018 he and his family took a leap of faith and moved to Kingfisher.

He and his family were currently attending Life-Way Church where he also was a greeter and became one of the elders of the church.

Boob was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael Rodd.

Boob is survived by his wife, Amy Rodd; daughters, ZayLynn, Tayalei, Paige (Alex) Boegel; sons Ryan Rodd (fiancé Vanessa Esquibel) and Aaron (Kasarah) Rodd.

He has nine grandchildren: Tatum, Brody, Ryleigh, Axl, Ladd, Tevin, Tabor, Creed and Case.

A celebration of life will be held at Deerfield High School gymnasium at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, in Deerfi eld Kan. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson Funeral Home-Kingfisher.
