Lowell Arthur Rockett

Lowell Arthur Rockett
March 10, 1926 ~ May 5, 2022 (age 96)

Lowell Arthur Rockett, 96, of Augusta, Kansas, formerly of Ponca City, Oklahoma, died May 5, 2022. He was born March 10, 1926, in Chickasha, OK, to Paul Rockett and Archie LaVilla (Raines) Rockett.

Baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in January of 1940, he lived his life according to Bible principles and taught others to come to know God’s purpose for the earth and for mankind. His study of the Bible helped him to look to the future with hope that those who have died will be resurrected to perfect life in a paradise on earth.

On July 15, 1950, Lowell married his true love, Pansy Pauline Oliver, and they made their home in Ponca City, where together they raised four children, each of whom he cherished and loved deeply. Lowell owned and operated Carpenter Plumbing until his retirement in 1991. When health necessity required, Lowell moved to LakePoint of Augusta in March 2015, where he was always described by the staff as being a positive person and “so sweet.” Lowell was fond of his caregivers and appreciated their efforts to make his days a little bit brighter!

Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sons, Rudy Rockett, Sr. and Tony Rockett; one granddaughter, Sarah Morgan and one grandson, Nathaniel Rockett; three brothers, Glenn Rockett, Rudy Paul Rockett, and Dale Rockett, two sisters, Eve Picel and Ramona Schmidt.

He is survived by his son, Randy (Charisse) Rockett of Augusta; his daughter, LaVonna Morgan, Maize, Kansas; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and brother Marmie (Diane) Rockett of Aptos, CA.
