Thomas Pat Robinson , Resident of Ft. Smith Arkansas and previous resident of Chickasha Oklahoma.
After a courageous battle with cancer, Pat passed away peacefully at his home in Ft. Smith.
Pat was born in Paducah Texas and graduated from Cement Oklahoma High School.
He worked for Magnolia and Mobil Oil in the production and drilling department for 16 years and then owned and operated a wholesale food distributorship for Tom's Food Company.
Pat was the beloved husband of Mattie Lou Robinson [Bledsoe] for almost 60 years.
He will forever be remembered by his children Dr. Ronald Robinson and daughter-in-law Dr. Nancy Robinson of Ft. Smith, Michael Robinson of Florence Italy , Robin Robinson of Petaluma California and Kelly Robinson of Fayetteville Arkansas along with his grandchildren Scott and Jelea Robinson, Claire and John Lemaster of Denver Colorado and Andrew Robinson of New Orleans Louisiana as well as countless friends who were blessed to have known him.
Pat was actively involved in his churchwork with both the First Christian Church in Ft. Smith and the Parkview Christian Church in Chickasha. He was proud to have made 13 mission trips to Haiti over a several year period.
He enjoyed being an avid fisherman, nature lover, sports enthusiast and bridge player.
Pat's devotion to his family as father and grandfather was his primary passion in life and he has touched the lives of many people with his kind spirit and his devout Christian faith.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Pat's life with a memorial service on Thursday April 09, 2009, at 1 pm at the First Christian Church, 3600 Free Ferry Road, Ft. Smith, AR 72908.
Memorial donations may be sent to the Cavett Kid's Foundation at PO Box 26307, Oklahoma Medical Center, Room 2311, Oklahoma City OK 73126. The foundation provides opportunities for children with chronic diseases.
