Floyd Cooper Robinson was born March 22, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio to Joseph Jerome and Elsie Irene Robinson. He departed this life April 25, 2025, at the age of 76.
He graduated from Bristow High School in 1967. He then received his bachelor’s degree from Northeastern State University and later received his master’s degree in administration from the University of Central Oklahoma.
Floyd played many roles in the Bristow school system. He was a classroom teacher, wrestling, football, and track coach, and finally, athletic director. He also enjoyed gardening, collecting coins, and making stain glass.
He is survived by his sister, Margaret Dennis and husband Scott; nephews, Patrick Sean Dennis and wife Lora, and Kelly Dennis; great niece, Stacie Dennis; great nephew, Ryan Dennis and wife Courtney and two great great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Connie Green.
