Vesta Maurice (Steve) Roberts, 65 of Boswell, OK passed away at her home on August 15, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born on August 31, 1953 in Claremore, OK to Morris Willis Steve and Malinda (Winship) Cacy.
Vesta attended school in Hartshorne, OK. She met and married the love of her life, Jimmy Roberts on April 13, 1978 in Geary, OK. They had 41 wonderful years together. They moved from McAlester, OK to Boswell in the fall of 1986. Vesta enjoyed being a homemaker most of all. She also loved beading, cooking, and spending time with her family. She attended church at the Sardis Indian Baptist and the White Sand United Methodist Church.
Vesta is preceded in death by her father Morris Steve, mother Malinda Cacy, brothers Cephus Sam and Deroy Winship.
Vesta is survived by her husband, Jimmy of the home, son Morris Steve and wife Kerry of Boswell, OK, son Curtis Steve and wife Shawna Folsom of Calera, Ok, son Stefan Roberts and wife Jennifer of Durant, OK, daughter Stephanie Elliott and husband Tommy of Bennington, OK, 12 grandchildren; Samuel Steve, Malinda Steve, Morgan Steve, Ryan Minyard, Alexander Steve, Lance Minyard, Jayda Roberts, Clayton Elliott, Landon Roberts, Channing Steve, Cordelia Roberts, and Jakob Roberts, 2 great grandchildren; Mahiya Steve and Ellanorra Wilson, sister Shelly Horton and husband David of Owasso, Ok, and brother Paul Sam of Midwest City, OK.
Memorial service will be held on Monday, August 19, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the White Sand United Methodist Church in Bennington, OK. Pastors will be Olin Williams and Mike Davis conducting the service.
