Raymond Paul Roberts passed away at his home in Del City on September 18, 2020. He was born on March 21, 1933 in Lawrence County, Illinois to William and Gladys (Land) Roberts. He was the oldest of five children. He graduated from Bridgeport High School in Bridgeport, Illinois.
He married Carolyn Boehl on March 23, 1974. Together they had a daughter, Paula. Raymond worked for route sales as a vending machine filler for many years, and was a very hard worker. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Raymond was a very mild-mannered, quiet man. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and loved children and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Doris Scott; brother, Tom Roberts; and sister, Dorothy McClaskey.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Roberts; daughter, Paula Richard (husband Robert); grandchildren, Christopher Roberts (wife Lisa), Justin Richard, and Timothy Richard; great-grandchildren, Tristan Roberts and Gavin Roberts; sister, Wilma Ault; 54 nieces and nephews; and many other friends and family.
A memorial service for Raymond will be held at a later date in Illinois.
