Georgia Faye (Lowery) Roberts
April 23, 1937 ~ May 14, 2025

Georgia “Faye” Lowery Roberts entered this life on April 23, 1937. She was born to Curtis Lowery and Theodocia Lowery in Pageland, SC. Faye went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 14, 2025, in Durant, OK at the age of 88 years old.

Faye attended Pageland South Carolina High School and was a proud member of the class of 1958. She then went on to earn her bachelor’s and master’s degree in education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, OK. Faye served as a Teacher at Durant ISD for 30+ years and was named 1990 Teacher of the Year for George Washington Elementary. She was a member of CASA, an active member of the women’s church group, and a proud member of the morning coffee clubs at Dandy Donuts and McDonalds. Faye was a believer and worshipped at the Durant Church of Christ. She enjoyed working in the yard with her flowers and gardening, putting together silk flower arrangements, crafts, sewing, and loved spending time with her family. Faye will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceding her in death is her husband Carrol Roberts, father Curtis Lowery, mother Theodocia Lowery, sisters Ernestine Lowery, Aline Brown, Nyoka Ellison, brothers Mackie Lowery, Ben Lowery, Ernest Lowery, and son in law Greg Dills.

Faye is survived by her daughter, Betsy Clark and husband James of Caddo, OK, daughter Jill Dills of Mead, OK, son Brad Roberts and girlfriend Belinda of Durant, OK, sister Josie Wrenn of Raleigh, NC; granddaughters, Sara McMichael, Lauren McMichael, Keely Nunnally and husband Jonathan, Emily Conley, Emma Roberts, Krista Walker and husband Aaron, Kendra Clark; grandson, Aaron Dills and wife Lynsey; great-grandchildren, Gage Harwood, Gavin Harwood, Cade Nunnally, Katherine Nunnally, Wyatt Conley, Owen Conley, Paxon Dills, Harper Walker, Maddox Henry, and numerous other family, friends, and loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the Durant Church of Christ with Logan Cates and Layne Heitz officiating. Family will receive friends on May 19, 2025, in the Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM for Family Hour.
