Charles William Roberts

May 6, 1936 ~ Nov 16, 2016

Charles William Roberts, 80, of Otterville, Mo. Passed away Wed., Nov. 16, 2016 at the University of Missouri Med Center in Columbia.

He was one of three children born to Freddie and Iola Roberts in Hennessey. 

After serving in the U.S. Army, Charles returned home and began his career as a mechanic in the Hennessey area servicing and maintaining equipment in the oilfields. He and Juanita were married in 1996 and they returned to Otterville in 2001 to be near family. Charles enjoyed traveling and he and Juanita loved sightseeing on their motorcycle. He also liked to go camping and fishing. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roy Roberts. 

He is survived by his wife, Juanita, of the home; step-daughters, Shelly Jensen and her husband Eugene of Tipton and Robin Wassman of Columbia; step-sons, David Wassman of Boonville and Kevin Wassman and his wife Deeann of Boonville; a sister, Carolyn Maddox and her husband Larry of Hennessey; six step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Mon., Nov. 21, 2016 at First Baptist Church, Syracuse. Visitation was from 4-6 p.m. Sun. evening at the Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton.
