Cecil David Roberts, 77, of Ponca City, OK, left this life on March 19, 2024. Viewing will be from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, March 24, 2024, and 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday, March 25, 2024, at Trout Funeral Home. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 25, 2024, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Gary Wilburn officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.
Cecil was born on June 20, 1946, in Satanta, KS, to Cecil Francis and Ruby Eleanor (Simpson) Roberts. Cecil was raised on a farm in Satanta and attended grade school and high school there. He was President of his Senior Class, graduating in 1964. He then attended 2 years at Fort Hays State College in Hays, KS.
Dave started his meat cutting career in 1966, with the Dillon Companies. Cecil married Ann Marie Campbell on June 9, 1984. She passed away in March of 2011. He opened D&D Osage Meat Market in 1984, operating the business for 26 years before retiring in 2010. He loved his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed his water ponds, doing yard work, playing softball and traveled to several states. Some of his teammates were lifelong friends; Randy, Lyles and Butch, to name a few. They were Oklahoma State Champions; as well as, 50 and over National Runners Up.
Dave is survived by: his special love and partner, Pam Powers, who filled many happy days of his life; his children Sean David Roberts and his wife, Melanie, of Colorado Springs, CO, Jessica Roberts of Ponca City, OK, Cari Roberts; step-daughters, Jamie Roller and Christa Jones; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Courtney "Corky" Roberts.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Randy Trant, Ray Moreland, Lyles Trussell and his nephews.
