Arthur Stephen Roastingear, son of Jack Yancy Roastingear and Christine Marie (Nofire) Drywater, was born June 26, 1955 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on March 26, 2019 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 63 years and 6 months.
Steve graduated from Stilwell High School and then went on to attend welding school. He worked as a truck driver for many years to provide for his family that he loved so dearly. He was married to Gayle Brewer and together they raised one son, Curtis. He enjoyed fishing and walking his dog “Chavo,” but most of all enjoyed time spent with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; Jack Yancy Roastingear.
Steve is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of over 40 years; Gayle Roastingear; son; Curtis Jordan and wife Dana all of Stilwell, mother; Christine Drywater, grandkids; Brandon Hawk and wife Chasity, Chris Hawk, Whitney Jordan and companion Jeremy Gass, Nicholas Jordan and companion Kayla Watt, Zachary Jordan, great-grandkids; Brandon Jr., Jordan, Kyleigh, Tyson, Stryker, Axel, Natalie, Drayven, Corbin, Cooper, Brixxleigh, Jasper, Haiden and Jude. Three siblings; Martin Roastingear, Jackson Roastingear both of Stilwell, Kathryn Roastingear of Tahlequah, several aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Roberts/Reed- Culver Chapel, Stilwell, with Rev. Alan Bowers officiating.
