Jake Austin Roach age 37 of Bridge Creek passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 25, 2014. He was born on February 1, 1977 in Oklahoma City. He was the 2nd child born to Bill Roach and Brenda [King] Roach.
Jake grew up in Bridge Creek where he graduated from high school with the class of 1995. Jake played football for Bridge Creek throughout his high school years, and played in the All-Star Game. During and after his high school years, Jake worked part-time for various farmers in the area. He also worked at Braums and York International before going to work in the swimming pool service industry. In 2003, he started his own business called Advanced Pool Technology. Jake loved having a job where he could be outdoors. He was very knowledgeable about his profession and enjoyed spending time working for all of his clients throughout the Metro area.
Jake had many friends and many hobbies. He enjoyed buying and working on Mud trucks, boats and motorcycles. However his favorite hobby was going to the lake, fishing and boating with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by: Grandparents, Frank and Maggie King; Grandfathers, A.F. Roach and Norm Faram; Aunts, Mary Lu Mills, Carolyn Taylor.
He is survived by: Parents, Bill and Brenda Roach of Bridge Creek; Sister, Kristie Ann Hendricks and husband Jason of Moore; Grandmother, Idalle Faram of OKC; Uncles, Frankie King of OKC, Shorty Smith of Fort Cobb and Clint Hames of Eveningshade, AR; Aunt, Willie Hames of Eveningshade, AR; Also many close friends and business acquaintances.
Memorial services will be 6:30 P.M. Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at the Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Bridge Creek.
Arrangements are with Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle, OK.
