Charles Samuel Roach

Charles Samuel Roach
August 1, 1945 ~ November 16, 2018

Charles Samuel Roach (73) passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 16th, 2018.

Charlie, as many knew him, was born August 1, 1945 to Orval and Ethel Roach in St. Louis, Missouri.

Charlie served his country in the Army as a young man during the Vietnam Era. He later worked for the State of Missouri as a Veteran's Representative. Charles was very dedicated and passionate about helping his fellow veterans.

Charlie married his wife, Marlene in 1988. They enjoyed their thirty years together golfing, bowling, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.

Charlie was a car enthusiast, with his latest project being a complete restoration of a 1948 F-1 Ford pick up truck. He enjoyed meeting regularly with his Garage Hot Rod Guys to talk about cars and life in general. These men came to be trusted and valuable friends.

Charlie enjoyed a large and loving family. He is survived by his beloved wife Marlene; two daughters: Christy Williams and Carla Howard and husband Trey; grandchildren: Shawn Williams, Tanner Williams, Kaitlyn Carter and Keegan Carter; brother: James Roach. He also leaves behind sister-in-law Rita Morrison, Rhonda Gunn and husband Greg; nieces and nephews: Ryan Morrison, J.W. Morrison, Hannah Goodman and husband Hunter, children Nevaeh, Cova and Ronin, Bethany Carmincke and husband Brett, Esther Nimmo and husband Daniel and son Ezekiel, Leah Gunn, Josiah Gunn, Moriah Gunn, Jacob Gunn and Verta Hamblin; many cousins and also his loyal and faithful four-legged companion Sammy.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you please consider a donation to the Disabled American Veterans, the American Diabetes Association, or the American Heart Association.
