Sherry Dianne Ritter, 74, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9-5 and on Saturday from 12-6pm with family greeting guests from 4-6pm. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday May 26, 2020 at 2pm. Dighton Marler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Sherry was born on July 30, 1945 in Stillwater to John and Inez (Myers) Sharpton. She grew up in Stillwater and graduated from Stillwater High School in 1963. She married Charles Ritter in 1965.
She was employed by Katz Department Store as a buyer for jewelry and later the department head of lingerie. She also worked many years at Hobby Lobby. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and above all she loved her Family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws, Hazel and Warren Ritter, her grandchildren Ranse, Lucas and Connor Prater, her siblings, Earnest Sharpton, Phyllis Jardot and Jerry Sharprton.
She is survived by her husband Charles Ritter, her daughter Tonya Prater and husband Wayne, grandchildren Victoria Prater and Kaedyn Prater, her siblings Barbara Baldwin and Janice Ladd as as well as Shana Peaden who was like a daughter to her and Nancey Hobeck who was like a sister to her.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Karman Legacy Hospice and to her brothers and sisters in law for everything they have done.
