Paulletta Jean (Followwill) Ritter
June 14, 1948 ~ May 21, 2021

On Friday, May 21, 2021, Paulletta Jean Ritter passed away peacefully at home at the age of 72.

Paulletta (Jeanie) was born June 14, 1948 in Kirksville, Mo to Norman and Mary (Temple) Followwill. The family moved to eastern Washington state when Paulletta and her sister Sharon were children and grew up in Springdale, WA. She gained 2 brothers, Gary and Charles (Chuck) , through adoption. She married Del Meske and had two children, Delbert (DJ) Meske and Melissa Meske. They subsequently divorced and she met and married Arthur Ritter and had two additional children, Reese Ritter and Tamra Ritter.

When she married Arthur she relocated to Oklahoma and made it home for the remainder of her life. She worked at General Electric Co for many years and then went to work at Tinker Air Force Base, where she remained until her retirement in 2009.

Paulletta had a love for hummingbirds and faithfully kept feeders out for them at her home. She also had an impressive collection of hummingbird keepsakes and knick-knacks.

Paulletta was proceeded in death by her father, Norman and her mother, Mary, her brother Gary and sister Sharon, as well as her granddaughter Cassey Underwood and great-grandson Noah Meske. She is survived by her brother Chuck, her four children DJ, Melissa, Reese and Tamra as well as 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a multitude of cousins, nieces/nephews and friends she considered family.

A viewing will be held Monday, May 24, 2021 at Barnes and Friederich Funeral Home, 1820 S. Douglas Blvd, Midwest City, OK from 7:00-8:00 pm with subsequent funeral service Friday, May 28, 2021 at 10:00 am. All are welcome.
