Janet Ritter, age 53 of Tuttle, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023. Janet Ranae Hickey was born September 15, 1969 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, the younger of two daughters born to Billy Gene Hickey and Nela Mae (Harris) Hickey. She was raised in Oklahoma City and attended Capitol Hill High School. Janet married her best friend and life partner, Lary Eugene Ritter on October 25, 1991 in Okla. City. She was the proud mother of son Jeffrey, and daughters, Laury and Paige. Janet worked throughout the years as a self-employed house cleaner, and she greatly enjoyed her work and the relationships she developed. She was a vibrant soul and she lived for the small moments. She was outdoorsy, loved hunting and fishing, and tending to her garden. She was crafty and enjoyed home decorating, and never missed a chance to go to the casino. Janet cherished Lary and her kids, but her grandchildren were her world. She was a woman of great faith, and her faith carried her as she faced many challenges. She will be dearly missed!
She was preceded in death by: her father, Billy Hickey.
Janet is survived by: her husband, Lary Ritter of the home; son, Jeffrey Hickey and wife Paige of Houston, TX; daughters, Laury Nicole Ritter of Moore and Paige Johnston and husband Brent of Minco; her mother, Nela Hickey of Moore; sister, Sheila Eaton and husband Jimmy of McLoud; 10 grandchildren, Payden, Liam, Kinkaid, Nixxon, Arlynn, Oliver, Layla, Braelin, Bennit and Brieonna; nieces Cheyanne, Jaci and Cortni and nephew, Dillon; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Woodland Hills Baptist Church, Newcastle. www.wilsonlittle.com.
