Charles Edward Risley, Jr.

???? ~ October 19, 1994 | Age 71

Charles Edward Risley, Jr., 71, died Wednesday, October 19, 1994.

Services were at 10:00 a.m. in Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Charles Jones officiating.

Burial was in Llano Cemetery by Bell Avenue Chapel of Schooler-Gordon-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors.

Mr. Risley was born in Cheyenne, Oklahoma.

He was the salutatorian of the Class of 1941 at Sunray High School.

He had been an Amarillo resident for 48 years.

He married Peggy Marie Brewer in 1943.

He was a truck driver and member of Second Baptist Church.

He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of York Rite Chapter No. 196 in Amarillo, Masonic Lodge No. 1239 in Amarillo and El Paso Scottish Rite. He also belonged to Al Marrah Shrine in Clarendon.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Charles E. Riley III of Wink; three daughters, Sue Sechrist of Fort Worth; and Charlotte Waters and Cindy Risley, both of Amarillo; a sister, Peggy Vermillion of Valle de Oreo; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; as well as numerous friends.
