Services for Sonia Mae Keller Ridgeway, 82, were held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 1 in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta, with Bro. Travis Huffman and Bro. Jim Nash officiating.
Born October 12, 1926, in Wichita Falls, Texas, the daughter of Leonard and Margaret Hess Keller, she died Tuesday, April 28, 2009, in the Lake Country Nursing Center, Marietta.
Mrs. Ridgeway had been a resident of Love County for the past 22 years. She and Alfred B. Ridgeway were married April 23, 1946, in Lawton. Mrs. Ridgeway graduated from high school in Portland, Oregon in 1946 and the couple made their home there until 1950 at which time they moved to Faxon, Oklahoma. In 1975 they moved to Jordan, Montana, and in 1986 to Love County to make their home in the Burneyville area. Mrs. Ridgeway's hobbies included arts and crafts, cooking, wildlife and traveling. She was a member of the Marietta Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred B. Ridgeway of the home at Falconhead; adopted son and daughter-in-law, Charley and Ann Boyd of Hot Springs, Arkansas; adopted daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Ken Howard of Matlock, Washington; brother and sister-in-law, Ted Paul and Kathy Keller of Wasilla, Alaska; three sisters and brother-in-law, Helen Green and Sophi Keller of Cornelius, Oregon and Hazel and Don Murray of Forest Grove, Oregon; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Leonard Keller Jr. and Stanley Lewis Keller; and two sisters, Shirley Wilson and Lenette Crest.
Pallbearers were Pete King, Allen Woody, Vance Parr, Dan McMillan, Zack King and Zane King. Honorary pallbearers were other members of the Marietta Church of Christ.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation in care of the funeral home.
