Robbie Palma (Montgomery) Riddle departed this life on February 10, 2022. She was born on Tachikawa Air Force Base, Tokyo, Japan, on December 12, 1967, the youngest daughter of Floyd Monroe Montgomery and Robbie Rachel (Carter) Kleese.
Growing up in a military family Robbie lived in Japan, many U.S. states, England, and Germany before settling in Oklahoma. She graduated from Pond Creek-Hunter High school in 1986, and later attended Norther Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, Oklahoma.
She endured much with great strength and fortitude, never losing her wicked sense of humor despite it all. In her younger years, Robbie enjoyed drawing comic characters for her boys, working on the family farm with her uncle Hershel and aunt Mary Carter and cousins Kim and Brad in Hunter, OK, where she raised sheep and rode horses. She had a passion for Elvis and country music.
From one marriage she is survived by two sons, Justin of Catoosa, OK, and Greg and his wife Chelsea of Verdigris, OK. She is also survived by her father of Montgomery, TX, three siblings: Tammie Townley of Enid, OK, Polly and her husband Chris Von Thaden of Dixon, CA, Robert and Anne-Sophie Montgomery of Moses Lake, WA. Robbie also had eight nephews, one niece, three great-nephews and eight great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her mother, maternal grandmother Robbie Verneda (Venable) Carter of Hunter, OK, maternal grandfather Juett Morgan Carter of Hunter, OK, her paternal grandfather Floyd Ray Montgomery of Las Cruces, NM, and paternal grandmother Palma Belvia (Bowers) Montgomery of Las Cruces, NM.
A private celebration of life will be held in Enid, OK, on Saturday afternoon, February 19th. With a memorial service being planned for summer, for friends and family to be announced at a later date.
