Written by James Rickman III;
"My father, James Washington Rickman Jr. worked hard all his life. He went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 in Lawton, Oklahoma. My dad was the type of guy that never knew a stranger and would do anything in the world for you. He worked in the shipyard in Virginia when I was young. Those were the days he pretty much did what he had to, to make a life for his family. He was not afraid of hard labor. He enjoyed listening to his music LOUD, He also enjoyed playing cards, Yahtzee and watching a good action movie. I will always remember the things he taught me, the stories he told me, and how to appreciate what you have because just like him, it can be gone in a blink of an eye! I know he will be missed by many but never forgotten. "
James is survived by his wife Patsy Rickman; Son, James Rickman III and wife Angie; Sister, Judy Rickman Hatcher.
Private family services will be handled at a later date.
