Funeral service for Doyle Richmond, 92, of Enid, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at the Richmond Chapel in Wappapello, Mo., with Rev. Donald Richmann officiating. Burial will follow in Richmann Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, Enid. Visitation with the family will be 5-7 p.m. today, Nov. 13, 2013, at the funeral home.
Doyle was born Aug. 16, 1921, in Wappapello, Mo., to John Fish and Louise Richmann and died on Veteran's Day, Nov. 11, 2013, in Enid. He grew up in the Wappapello area and enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving during WWII. He received three Bronze Stars. On March 23, 1950, they made their home in Enid. He was a welder for several different companies. Doyle was a member of Westside Baptist Church, D.A.V. and The Garden Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene; two brothers, Leland and Leon; and a sister, Wanda.
Doyle is survived by two daughters, Janet Richmond of Oklahoma City and Diane Jack and husband Michael of Buda, Texas; one granddaughter, Darcy Jack; and other relatives and friends.
