Lige Homer Rich, son of Harvey B. Rich and Della Jane (Smith) Rich, was born on January 11, 1935 in Newton County, Arkansas and departed this life to join the heavenly host on Thursday, June 25, 2020 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at 85 years of age.
He was a Minister to numerous communities in several States, including 12 years at Liberty Baptist, Dutch Mills, AR.
Homer was a life-long professional educator in the field of Science. After retirement, He and Vicky spent 5 years traveling throughout the USA and Canada in their motorhome with their cat, Fluffy.
After their travels, they settled in his childhood home of Stilwell.
Homer will be remembered fondly by widely-scattered students, friends and family.
He is survived by his wife: Vicky (Widener) Rich of Stilwell, OK, his brother: Oren Rich of Springdale, AR, his faithful dog: Sage, his children: Jonathan Rich of Clara City, Minnesota, David Rich and wife Patricia of Evansville, AR, Tim Rich and wife Debbie of Summers, AR, 13 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Children and other relatives and many friends.
Homer was preceded by his Parents, 2 Sisters, 2 Brothers and daughter-in-law: Jennifer Rich.
Graveside services were held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Dutch Mills Cemetery, Dutch Mills, AR with Bro. Jason Taylor officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Stilwell, OK.
