A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016, at 11:00 am in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel. The family asks that friends and family attending plan to share a special memory or story regarding Rose.
Rose Marie Rhoads was born September 22, 1957, in Hugo, OK, the daughter of Billy Jack and Loretta (Fuller) Brown. She graduated from Ft. Towson High School with the Class of 1975. Following high school she attended Rose State College to complete her AA Degree, and then attended the University of Central Ok and completed her BA Degree. She worked as a Legal Assistant and ParaLegal for many years. Rose enjoyed sewing and embroidery, square dancing, and was and avid reader and word puzzel enthusiasit. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Charles Brown, and one brother-in-law, Odie Miller.
Rose is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rita and Jerry Nation of Sawyer, OK, Ruby and Rickey Nored of Hugo, OK; Nieces and Nephews, Misty and Thomas Vorpagel of Lawton, OK, Ricky and Alisha Nored of Hugo, OK, Odis and Courtney Miller of Sawyer, OK, Elizabeth and Buck Phelan of Eufaula, OK; Great Nieces and Great Nephews, Teresa Canada, and Ryan Canada both of Lawton, OK, Bethany Phelan, and Stetson Phelan both of Eufaula, OK, Levi Billy Jack Nored of Hugo, OK, Bailey Miller of Ft. Towson, OK; Special friends include Billy Franklin, and Pam Kaylor; as well as multiple Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends.
The family requested memorials be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association or the American Kidney Foundation.
