She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Resler; parents, Charles and Elaine Harzman and all four of her brothers: Bill, Nick, Mike, and Kem Harzman.
Suzanne married Paul D. Resler of Cherokee, Oklahoma, who she met while attending Northwestern Oklahoma State University where she received her bachelor's degree in physical education. She also received her Master's degree from Oklahoma University. She then taught dance at Hayes State University before moving to Overland Park, Kansas, where she started her family.
She is survived by daughters Trina Resler, and Viki Resler White and grandchildren Tanner and Jordan McGehee, Piper Resler, Tyson, Cadee and Trevor Fromm.
Suzanne served the community through the Department of Rehabilitation, Department of Human Services, and as Executive Director for the Girl Scouts. She spent her life working to makes others lives better. She was inspiring, uplifting and never failed to reach out her heart to those in need.
Suzanne was the matriarch of our family, a job which probably began as the only sister in a family of four boys. She was our guide and our listener. She never failed to have advice, love and understanding for all of her family and friends. Her celebration of life service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Alva, Oklahoma, at 10 a.m, on Thursday June 20, 2019 with Carol Cook Moore officiating. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at http://www.whartonfuneralchapel.com.
