Daryl Bob Reeves passed away Monday, April 13, 2015, at his home in Enid, Okla. Daryl was born July 15, 1947, to Jacque Louise (Walker) Reeves and Bob Reeves.
He graduated from Enid High School in 1965, and was a proud member of the 1965 EHS state championship football team.
After attending OSU, he returned to Enid and opened Richard's Menswear in Sunset Plaza with two of his classmates. After selling Richard's, he formed E-Z Lay Pipeline in 1973.
Using his success in the oil and gas industry, Mr. Reeves tapped into his appetite for life and opened and managed various restaurants in Enid, including Punkin's Grill, Maxwell Pancake House, Maple Street Market Deli, City Boots and The Sage Room before retiring.
He enjoyed many things including spending time with his grandchildren, traveling, playing cards, golfing and hunting. He was an active member of the Grand National Quail Club for the past 45 years.
Mr. Reeves is survived by two children, Heather Smither (husband Mike) of Tulsa, and Jed Reeves (wife Michelle) of Fargo, N.D., and grandchildren Carley,Tanner, Hunter and adopted child Kerrigan Reeves. Daryl Bob also is survived by his long-time partner, Sheila Maner and her two children, Jeremy Maner (wife Amy) of Edmond and grandchildren Olivia and Jack and Kristi Bolin (husband Doug) and grandaughters Ella and Emry of Enid.
In lieu of flowers, monies may be contributed to Kerrigan Reeves college fund through Anderson Burris.
Preceded in death by Jacque Reeves, Bob Reeves and grandson, Blake Reeves.
A memorial service will be 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Function Junction, 800 W. Broadway.
