Robert L. Reese, age 76, of Osage passed away from this life on Wednesday March 1, 2023, at his residence. Robert was born September 20, 1946, at Hominy to J. D. and Mary (Grievs) Reese. He was raised and received his education in the Hominy and Prue area, graduating from Prue HS. Robert was united in marriage to Violet Brown on October 12, 1964, at the Osage 1st Baptist Church. Robert worked as a welder for CE Natco and Piping Enterprise, retiring after 32 years. During his working years, they lived in various places because of his work. They eventually established their home in Prue in 1970, moving to Osage in 1992. Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Those that survive include his three sons – Stacy Reese and wife Michelle of Collinsville, Tracy Reese of Osage and Robert Reese, Jr also of Osage. Also surviving are three brothers Jim, Wayne, and Mike Reese; grandchildren – Kristen, Ashley, Lindsay, Zander, Benjamin, Makina, Tobi, Brooke, JT, Joseph Robert; and 14 great grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.
Memorial services will be at the Westport Baptist Church 1:00 pm Saturday, March 11th with Ray Early and Justin White officiating. The musical selection will include “Beulah Land”. Services and cremation have been entrusted to the Chapman-Black Funeral Home of Cleveland. www.chapman-black.com
