January 27, 1951 ~ August 18, 2019

Memorial Service for Monica Le Anna Reed, 68, of Ardmore, OK, will be held Monday, August 26, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta, OK with Lawrence Anderson officiating.

Monica was born January 27, 1951, in Gainesville, TX, the daughter of James Auston Reed and Willie Maxine Hicks Reed. She passed away August 18, 2019, at her residence.

Monica graduated from Marietta High School and continued her education, receiving a master's degree in Psychology. She spent most of her life in Carter County where she worked for the Department of Human Services evaluating individuals. Some of Monica's interests include hunting, fishing and riding her John Deere Tractor. She also loved her horses, dogs and the great outdoors.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a niece, Blair Le Anna Reed; a nephew, Chad Lewis Reed; and a great-nephew, Auston Gage Reed.

Survivors include her brother, Steve Reed and wife Cindy of Lone Grove, OK; a nephew, Chase Reed of Lone Grove; a niece, Paige Newell and husband Randall of Lone Grove; and a great niece and nephew, Paisley and Raiden.

The family suggest memorial contributions can be made to Ardmore Animal Shelter in memory of Monica Reed.

Cremation is under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Marietta.
