Linda “Sue” (Goodeagle) Reed

Linda “Sue” Goodeagle Reed died at home October 22, 2024. She was 77 years old.

Linda Sue was born May 17, 1947 at the Pawnee Indian Hospital in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Merton Kenneth Goodeagle and Lenora Jake Goodeagle. She attended Pawnee Schools and graduated from Pawnee High School with the class of 1965.

She married James Leslie Reed on August 13, 1965 in Pawnee, Oklahoma.

She is survived by her children, Jamie Sue Fercking, Joy Lyn Reed White, James Bradley Reed and Jalee Morgan Thayer; grandchildren Anthony Lloyd Marcello, Steven Cohl Walla, Tyler James Walla, Milan Aaronson Walla, Rachel Walla, Blayre Teka Gray, Brett Michael Altier, Drake Bradley Jacob Reed, Hunter Logan Reed, Robert Fisher Reed, Morgan Sue Reupert, Eben Lesley Reupert, Briseis Thayer and Sibylla Thayer; great-grandchildren Brennan Gray, Stella Gray, Bronson Gray, Mia Altier, Piper Altier and Parker Walla.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Reed, parents Kenneth and Lenora Goodeagle, brother Merton K. Goodeagle, Jr., sister Hattie Pauline Goodeagle Gibson, brother Ronnie Goodeagle, Sr. and grandson Patrick “Bo” Altier.

Services will be held October 28, 2024 10:00 AM at Pawnee Nation Ceremonial Roundhouse. Pallbearers will be James Bradley Reed, Drake Reed, Kenneth Goodeagle, Kenneth Goodeagle, Jr., Benjamin Goodeagle, James Marvin Suneagle, Kyle Wayne Suneagle and other Goodeagle Family members.
