Gennavieve “Genna” Katherine Reed, of Cyril, Oklahoma, was born on April 30, 1998, in Fort Worth, Texas to Michael DeWayne and Crystal Dawn (Stewart) Reed. She passed away on May 7, 2020, in Chickasha at the age of 22.
Viewing will be held on Monday, May 11, from 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Cyril Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled on Tuesday, May 12, at 11:00 A.M. at Cyril Assembly of God Church with Randy Cocheran officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cyril Funeral Home.
Genna graduated from Cement High School in 2017. She loved to go fishing and driving. Her favorite place to eat was Crab Town. Playing with her niece, Hazel, was one of her favorite pastimes. She loved watching Grey’s Anatomy and Friends. She also enjoyed listening to music. Genna was a thrill seeker who loved to watch scary movies. She was also very brave. She was the strongest willed and toughest person in the world and she never complained. She always believed in Jesus and was a member of the Cyril Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her grandma, Katherine Stewart; PawPa, Gary Stewart; grandma, Debra Gowen; and great grandpa, Lewis Reed.
Genna is survived by her loving parents, Michael and Crystal Reed; brother, Ty Reed; sister, Paris and husband Toby Orf; great grandma, Shirley Chaney; special aunt, Sue Avery; and niece, Hazel, affectionately known as “Nut Nut.”
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Reed, Ty Reed, Toby Orf, Ronnie Orf, Greg Atkeson, Michael Morton.
