Memorial services for Donald William Reed will be held at the Woodward Moose Lodge on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Donald William Reed was born on April 9, 1956 to John and Alice (Ball) Reed in Amherst, New York. God took him home November 9, 2017 at the age of 61 years and 7 months after a hard fight against cancer.
Don grew up and attended schools in Amarillo, Texas. Don was united in marriage to Frieda Gulley in 1976. To this union two sons were born, Jason and Randy. On April 12, 1986, Don was united in marriage to Dana Lansberry. To this union he became the proud father of two daughters, Rachel and Rebecca.
While Don was helping build the Woodward Wal-Mart Super Center in October of 1997, he met the love of his life, Kathy, at which time he became a Dad to two more children, Shanna and Dustin. Don and Kathy were together for 18 years when they decided they were perfect for each other and were united in marriage on May 28, 2015.
Don had eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He loved all his children and grandchildren with all his heart. Don loved watching his grand kids participate in all of their activities. He was truly their biggest fan.
Don's passion was racing. His hobbies included playing golf, softball, playing darts, bowling and playing poker with his many friends. Don also enjoyed camping with his friends. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. Don enjoyed life and lived it to its fullest.
Special thanks to the close friends that made sure Don was able to continue enjoying life to the fullest: Steve Kinsey, Chris and Debbie Baker, Randy Shenberger, Mike Shenberger, Carl Whitworth, Tim Wheeler, Steve and Rita Mitchell, Jeff Kaup and friends from the Moose Lodge that gave him rides home.
Don is survived by his wife, Kathy Reed of the home; three sons: Dustin Harris, Jason Reed, and Randy Reed; three daughters: Rachel Reed, Rebecca Reed and fiancé Joshua Clute, Shanna Cornwell and husband Zack; one sister: Brenda Davis; eleven grand children: Colby, Konner, Ty, Kallie, Amber, Jordan, Dalton, Alexis, Austyn, Jacob, and Erricha; three great grand children: Carter, Ryder, and Kaiser; two sister in laws: Peggy Miller and husband Eric, Karen Walker and husband Bill; two brother in laws: Bill Barnett and wife Mae, Larry Barnett and wife Jenni; mother in law: Nellie Varnett and many niece's and nephew's.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Alice Reed; a brother, Burt Reed; a sister Roxanna Miller, and father in law, Murel Barnett.
