Cynthia Sue (Slone) Reed was born in Roanoke, Virginia on January 4, 1964 to Lois (Louis) and Dorothy (Beckner) Slone. She passed away on May 23, 2021 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 57 years.
Cyndi grew up in Roanoke, Virginia and graduated from high school there. After joining the United States Navy in 1990 she was stationed in San Diego, California. This is where she met and later married Ronald E. Reed on June 11, 1994. In May 1995 they welcomed their daughter, Kaitlin Nicole into the world.
Upon Cyndi's discharge from the Navy they moved to Roanoke, Virginia then later to Wenatchee, Washington. Cyndi pursued her RN degree while in Washington where she made the dean's list. Cyndi worked for a time before the family moved to Burns Flat, Oklahoma where they remained until her death. Cyndi loved her family and her pets. She always wanted to help people and rescue stray animals.
She is preceded in death by her father, her paternal grandparents, William and Josie Slone and her maternal grandparents, Marvin C. Beckner, Pauline D. Lambert and step-grandfather, Carl Lambert.
She is survived by her husband, Ron, of the home, one daughter, Kaitlin Reed and fiance, Randy Kothman, Burns Flat, OK, her mother, Dorothy "Dot" (Beckner) Jones, Cove, AR, a special great aunt, Peggy Earp, Richmond, VA and many other aunts, uncles and loved ones.
