Amber Marie Reed, 33, left this world on Friday, April 3, 2020 in Midwest City, OK. Amber, (also known as Bam Bam to those closest to her), was born on January 23, 1987 to John Reed and Brenda Dyer in Oklahoma City, OK.
In 2009, Amber graduated from cosmetology school at Midwest Beauty College. Her talent for taking care of her clients was absolutely unmatched! But when Amber wasn’t taking care of clients, you could always find her riding motorcycles, writing poetry, drawing, and learning how to play the guitar.
Amber loved spending time with her family. Growing up with Nicole and Nick and having Brenda in charge, there really was never a dull moment. She was her siblings’ biggest fan. They often had get-togethers out at Mom’s house and trips to the lake. And when Amber became an aunt, it quickly became one of her proudest moments (just above owning her own motorcycle!) Amber’s bond with her mom can be described as monumentally enduring, they were best friends. It is even rumored that Amber is Brenda’s favorite.
Her free spirit, outspokenness, and non-judgmental morals was something that everyone knew her for. She truly never met a person that was a stranger. Amber often gave to anyone who needed help and though she didn’t have much, she would have given you the shirt off her back if you needed it. A perfect day for her would be heading out to the lake on her bike and having a good ‘ole fashion party with all her loved ones. Her gypsy-like lifestyle will never be forgotten and will be forever missed by all who knew her.
Amber is preceded in death by her father John Reed and grandfather Allen Kever. She is survived by her mother, Brenda L. (Reed) Dyer; step-father, Raymond Dyer; a sister, Nicole A. Reed and her wife Kristin Reed; nephew, Owen P. Reed; a brother, Nicholas J. Ziegler and his husband Bryan Ziegler; godmother, (Aunt) Sonya Marie Campbell; godfather, (grandfather) Ralph Gosselin; grandmother, Florence Gosselin; Nanree, Patricia Reed; bonus grandmother, Debbie Smith-Johnson and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held in honor of Amber’s life at a later date.
