Celebration of live for Nita Ruth Reese, age 91, will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Fairview First United Methodist Church. Reverend Andrew Haire will officiate. Cremation arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Nita was born in Fairview, Oklahoma on January 25, 1926 to William Rodney Glasgow and Dolores "Dolly" Mellor. She departed this life on June 3rd, 2017 at Bass Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Claud Earl Reese, Jr. on September 30, 1945. They were blessed with two sons, Bud and Ted Reese.
Nita was a homemaker; a hardworking mother and wife. She was involved with several organizations such as Eastern Star and Gamma Mother's Club. She was also a nature-lover, watching birds and geese. Hunting and fishing were pastimes she shared with her husband, as was travelling.
She is survived by her two children: Claud Earl Reese III (aka "Bud") and Ted Eugene Reese, his wife, Mary Jane, of Fairview; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Stuart Reese; her siblings, William Glasgow (Billy Rod) and wife, Lola, Barbara Lou Reese-Reeg and husband, Harvey, and Gary Don Glasgow; great grandchildren, cousins, and a long line of friends and admirers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Danny Glasgow, and James Patrick Glasgow (Jimmy Pat).
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to charity of your choose with the funeral home acting as custodian.
