Jimmy Charles Redwine was born March 4, 1939, to Jim and Katherine Redwine in Kingfisher.
He married Deloris West in Leavenworth, Kan., on July 27, 1957. They made their home in Kingfisher all of their life together.
Born to their family was a daughter, Sherry Lynn, and a son, Jimmy Scott.
He is survived by his daughter Sherry and son Randy Farrar of Kingfisher and son Scott and daughter Marian Redwine of Oklahoma City.
Jimmy had four grandchildren, Tyler Farrar and wife Jacque and Tiffany Hadnot and husband Brandon of Kingfisher, along with Brock Redwine and wife Kelsi of Oklahoma City and Baylor Redwine of Los Angeles, Calif.
His six great-grandchildren were Kyle and Kooper Fahlenkamp, Timberly Hadnot, Rylie, Ryann and Reese Farrar, all of Kingfisher; and a great-grandson, Jimmy Waylon Redwine, of Oklahoma City.
Jimmy is survived by one sister, Ora Mae Struck of Kingfisher; one brother, Lawrence Redwine and wife Alice Kay of Yukon; his sisters-in-law Madeline Redwine, Darlene Brown and husband Danny of Piedmont, and Vickie West of Kingfisher; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Deloris Nadine (West) Redwine; his parents Jim and Katherine Redwine; stepmother Gail Redwine; his parents-inlaw Orvel and Irene West; his brother Bill Redwine and brother-in-law Larry Struck; as well as his brothers and sisters by marriage, Harvey (Bud) West, Roy and Barbara Stevens, Alice (Midge) McAlvain and Hazel Mullins.
Jimmy was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
He worked hard and played hard.
He established Redwine Supply, a welding shop and truck bed manufacturer, with his father in 1955 when he was a sophomore in high school.
In 1985, this expanded a pipe business that has continued to evolve over the years.
He had the sincere joy of developing this business with his son Scott and eventually his grandson Brock.
Though he had a quiet demeanor, the competitive Jimmy Redwine raced motocross for five decades, rarely coming home with less than a first-place trophy.
The culmination of his riding career was winning the 2009 Vet World Championship in the over-70 class. In November 2022, Jimmy was inducted into the Oklahoma MX Hall of Fame, an honor that meant the world to him.
He enjoyed hours on the track and summers in the mountain trails with his sons, his grandsons and his great-grandsons. Nothing made him happier. Jimmy was dedicated to his church.
He only belonged to one church his whole life, Kingfisher Church of the Nazarene, where he served as the Sunday School superintendent and a church board member for decades and drove the church bus each Sunday, bringing children and youth to church.
He has been irrationally generous over his lifetime, making a lasting impact on many people and setting an example of love and faithfulness to Christ.
He crossed over into heaven peacefully on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.
Visitation will be noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at Sanders Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 20, at Church of the Nazarene in Kingfisher.
