Services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd., for Margaret Ida (Craig)-(Pressley) Rayburn, 81, who passed away April 17, 2005, in Bakersfield. Pastor Jerry Harvey, Sr., of Hope Tabernacle Pentecostal Church will officiate.
Mrs. Rayburn was born on November 9, 1923, in Oklahoma City, OK to Belva Greathouse and Jefferson Craig. She resided in Kern County since 1952.
Mrs. Rayburn is survived by two sons, Stanley Joe Pressley and wife, Roberta and Melvin Rayburn and wife, Marnell all of Bakersfield; four daughters, Belva Dixon and husband, Ken, Diana Mims and husband, Mike, Debra Kay Stanley and husband, Mike all of Bakersfield and Ida Carmel Bowles and husband, Leon of Heppner, OR and step-daughter, Pat Akers and husband, Butch of Nampa, ID; 24 grandchildren; 34 great- grandchildren; ex-son-in-law, James Reese, and very dear friends, Lillian Reese and Diane Winchurch and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, Belva and Jeff; three brothers, George, Melvin and Darrell Craig; one sister, Dorothy Craig; first husband, Carl Pressley; second husband, Leo Rayburn; son Leon Rayburn and daughter, Catherine Rayburn Ward.
Casketbearers will be her grandsons and great- grandsons.
We want to thank all the nurses and aides who cared for mother at the California Care Center - C Wing. She loved all of you and thanks to Optimal Hospice.
Visitation begins Thursday, 5- 9 p. m.
