Kathy Ann (Brookins) Ray was born January 22, 1971, and passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones, Sunday, July 10, 2016, following her battle with cancer.
Ann attended Norman schools and Rose State College for 2 years.
Ann worked in the admissions office at OU.
Ann met the love of her life, Michael Ray, in 1996. They married April 1, 2005. They had many wonderful memories in their short time. One of the best was their trip to Jamaica just prior to her illness.
Ann loved spoiling her nieces, making people feel better and happier, planning family & friend get together parties and could be found playing a prank or two.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Johnny & Bonnie Spears and H.L. & Lillian Brookins.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Ray, her parents, Don & Kathy Brookins, brother & sister-in-law, Brandon & Nikki Brookins, beloved nieces, Rileigh & Graci Brookins, sisters, Debi Jettun & Ginny Taylor, in-laws, Debbie & Bo Clifton, brother-in-law and wife, Gene & Shelby Ray, nephew & niece, Greer and Hollis Ray, special nieces & nephews, Luke & Jake Rowe, Cruz & Sloane Gibson, Tristyn & Taryn Wilson, & Stella Poe. Many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. And of course, her recliner sidekick & beloved dog, Sparkle Shimmer.
Ann touched many lives and left a little sparkle everywhere she went.
Visitation will be 3-8pm Thursday at Havenbrook Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6-8pm. Services to celebrate her life will be 1:00pm Friday at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel.
