Terry Lee Rauser, age 58 of Purcell, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017, at the Norman Regional Healthplex. Terry was born May 30, 1958 in Wayland, Michigan, the 2nd of 6 children of David and Carol Rauser. He was raised in Wyoming, Michigan and attended school there.
Terry joined the United States Army, serving 3 years, before moving back to Michigan.
Terry married Peggy Sue Shinaver on September 11, 1982. They made their home in Grand Rapids, MI where together they raised 3 children, Derek, Brandon and Amanda.
Terry worked in various jobs throughout the years, but mainly as a handy man. They settled in Purcell in 2010 to be closer to their son, Derek. When not working, Terry enjoyed working in his yard. He was a perfectionist, and maintained the perfect yard. He loved camping and never missed an opportunity to go fishing. He was an avid sports fan, and cheered for all Michigan teams. Terry attended the First Baptist Church in Purcell. He was a wonderful husband and father, grandfather, uncle and a true friend. He will be dearly missed!
He was preceded in death by: His mother, Carol Rauser.
Terry leaves behind: His wife, Peggy Rauser of the home; Children, Jennifer Rauser of Georgia, Amanda Rauser of Lexington, Derek Rauser of Oklahoma and Brandon Rauser of Oklahoma; Step-Father, David Rauser of Colorado; 2 brothers, Kippy Rauser of Madrid, Spain and David Rauser of Colorado; 3 sisters, Tami Webber of Wyoming, MI, Kimberly Johnson of Sparta, MI and Debbie Haight of Grand Rapids, MI; 2 grandchildren, Hayle Towers and Levi Brownrigg and A host of other family and friends.
Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Purcell.
