Melissa Gail Rathgeber

Melissa Gail Rathgeber
May 19, 1995 ~ January 21, 2021

Memorial services will be Saturday, January 30, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Bible Baptist Church with Reverend John Clapp officiating. Wharton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at http://www.whartonfuneralchapel.com.

Melissa Gail, daughter of Kathy (Kimball) and Randy Rathgeber, was born May 19, 1995, in Kiowa, Kansas, and passed away from this world on January 21, 2021, at the age of 35 years, 8 months and 2 days.

She graduated from high school in 2004 and worked in a daycare. She was a fun-loving spirit and loved to go to casinos and bingo. She loved her family and she never met a stranger.

She spent her whole life suffering from CP and MS but was always a fighter and a loving person to everyone who loved her and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her mother, Kathy, of the home; her sister Maranda Gilliland; five nieces, Kaylee, Kylee, Gracie, Cambrie and Presley; nine aunts and uncles, Marilyn (Gary) Shinliver, Toots (Tom) Trantham, Butch Kimball, Keith (Janie) Rathgeber Scott (Charmaine) Rathgeber; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Randy Rathgeber; her grandparents, Everett and Josephine Kimball and Dick and Norlene Rathgeber; one aunt, Pat Kimball; and a cousin, Stacy Shinliver.

She loved the Bible Baptist Church and everyone in the church and never met a stranger. She can remember anything. I love you Missy.

Memorial contributions can be made through a Love Fund to Wharton Funeral Chapel and to the Bible Baptist Church.
