Ruby Elaine Rath, age 73, of Macomb, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023 at her home in Macomb.
Ruby was born June 24, 1950 in Prague, Oklahoma, to James Carroll Gilbert and Josephine Elizabeth (Knucklos) Lane.
She married the love of her life, Wayne Rath Jr. on December 1, 1991 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She has lived in Prague, Midwest City, Oklahoma City, Tecumseh & finally Macomb Oklahoma for the past 25 years. Although she was not currently attending church she believed strongly in God. She loved going to the lake, going out to eat and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James “Jimmy” Monroe Gilbert; and sister, Bonnie Gilbert.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Wayne Rath, Jr. of the home; 2 daughters, Anna and Robert Sanchez of Shawnee, OK and Amy and Gregg Elledge of Lindsay, OK; 1 son, Bryan and Criss Rath of Tecumseh, OK; 6 grandchildren, Elaina and Mataeo Anderson, Payton Sanchez, Riley Rath, Amanda and Austin Webb, Harley and T.J. Qualls, and Braxton Rath; 1 great-great grandchild, Kaeden Padilla; 2 sisters, Carrol and Lony Marshall of Macomb, OK and Darla Harrison of Arlington, TX; 3 brothers, Clifford and Cathy Gilbert of Sand Springs, OK, Darrell Lane of Shawnee, OK, and Laddie and Kay Gilbert of Shawnee, OK; and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Cooper Funeral Home. Service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Sharon Baptist Church with Reverend Clint Dawkins, Sharon Baptist Church officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
