Weldon Ray Ratcliff, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the age of 77. Weldon was born on Sunday, July 23, 1944 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was the son of Ernest J. and Margaret Helen (Fulton) Ratcliff. Weldon was born and raised in Shawnee. He was a 1963 graduate of Shawnee High School. Following high school, Weldon proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Army. While in the US Army, Weldon served as a combat engineer.
After his service, Weldon continued his education at the University of Central Oklahoma. Weldon worked for many years at Mobile in Shawnee, as a process engineer. Weldon retired from Mobile in 1999 and began his career as a truck driver.
Weldon married the love of his life, Faye Ann (Green) Ratcliff on July 23, 1964 in Meeker. The couple made their home in Meeker for over thirty years. The couple had two children, Dana and Steven. The family were long time members of the Meeker Methodist Church.
Weldon had many passions, his beautiful rose garden, watching the hummingbirds on his feeders, painting, traveling and bowling. However, his greatest passion was his family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
Weldon was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Doris House and Sally Stien and one brother, Vern Ratcliff.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Faye Ann Ratcliff, of the home; one son, Steven Ray Ratcliff and his wife, Tammy, of Buffalo, New York; one daughter, Dana Rene Jordan and her husband, Mark, of Prague; eight grandchildren, Matthew Jordan and his wife, Samantha, of Prague, Kyle Jordan and his wife, Linda, of Prague; Zach Ratcliff of Buffalo, New York, Emily Ratcliff of Buffalo, New York, Sarah Robbins and her husband, Max, of Duncan, Kennedy Ratcliff of Buffalo, New York, Sydney Ratcliff of Buffalo, New York and Avery Ratcliff of Buffalo, New York; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Ann Wilkins of Shawnee and Margie E. Stone, of Tecumseh; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the Meeker Methodist Church. The family will accept guests from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.
