Thomas E. Rash, age 82, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018, in The Journey Home, Bartlesville.

Tom was born on September 29, 1936 in Shidler, Oklahoma to Everett E. and M. Pauline Rash. He received his education in Shidler, graduating high school in 1955. He joined the United States Air force in August 1956 and served 21 years as a Communications Specialist. He retired from the USAF in 1978 as Staff Sargent. During his employment with the military, he received numerous commendation awards for outstanding service.

In 1966, Tom and Pauline Boss were united in marriage in Germany while he was stationed there. They returned to the U.S. in 1970 and made their home in Bartlesville when he retired in 1978. In the 1980s, Tom was employed with TRW Reda Pump Security and Fouts Security in Bartlesville.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Paula; parents, E.E. and Pauline Rash; a sister and brother-in-law, Paul and Bettye Whitener.

He is survived by one niece, Karyn Shea of Bartlesville and a nephew, Dennis Whitener.

Private family services were held Sunday, October 7.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home.
