Kim Denise Rand of Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away on August 4, 2025, in Blackwell at the age of 68 years.

Kim Denise Rand was born on September 12, 1956, in Lawrence, Kansas. She was the daughter of Billy Dean Rand and Joyce Imogene (Gosnell Rand). At a young age her father Billy passed away and Louis Gildea became her bonus father. She grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public Schools, graduating from the Blackwell High School in 1974. She then furthered her education in Tonkawa at Northern Oklahoma College where she received her Associates in Accounting. Following her education she began her career with the Equity Group in Blackwell in 1978 till 1980, when she began working for Conoco as an accounting clerk until 1992. She also worked for Farmers Grain in Grant County, OneOK, and later Jackson Hewitt in Tonkawa. She was an artist and enjoyed drawing, painting and writing poetry; she was also an avid animal lover and she also enjoyed watching OU sports.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Rand, and Joyce and Louis Gildea; her paternal grandparents; and her maternal grandparents.

Kim was survived by one daughter, Cherody Janda of Ponca City, Oklahoma; one son, Heath Miller and wife Jamee of Perkins, Oklahoma; one brother, Greg Rand of Ponca City, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Braeley Durham and husband Kurtis of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Brexten Janda of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Brensen Janda of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Bennett Miller of Perkins, Oklahoma, and Jack Miller of Perkins, Oklahoma; and one great grandson, Camden Durham of Ponca City, Oklahoma.

A memorial has been established in Kim’s memory with the North Central Humane Society in Ponca City, Oklahoma, c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 11, 2025, in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel.
