Memorial services for Michael Edward Ragsdale will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Bryant officiating. Michael passed away Monday, January 4, 2016, in Denison, Texas, at the age of 61.
Michael Edward Ragsdale was born September 6, 1954, in Los Angeles, CA, to Douglas Vinson and Allie Mae (Brown) Ragsdale. He had lived in this area for several years after moving here from California. Michael was of the Baptist faith and attended many churches searching for the truth. While he was working in California, he invented a large cable stripper. He worked in construction and concrete work, he also worked for Weyerhauser. Michael enjoyed working with his hands, doing mechanical work and wood working. He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Ragsdale;b Brothers, Rodney Ragsdale, Danny Ragsdale, Gary Ragsdale and an infant brother; daughter, Shalonda C. Bender.
Michael is survived by wife, Susie Ragsdale of the home; his mother, Allie Mae Havins Ragsdale of Valliant, OK; sons, Randy Alexander of CA, Paul Vinson Ragsdale of Valliant, OK, Larkin Douglas Ragsdale of CA, James Bender of Valliant, OK and Charles Steaveson of TX; daughter, Bonnie Lee Nolan of Maine; brothers, Richard H. Havins of CA; 13 grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
