Our beloved son Joel Derek Ragsdale, 15, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, was unexpectedly called to Heaven on December 28, 2016.
Joel was born on June 21, 2001 in London, England.
He was a freshman at Bartlesville High School and an active member of his City Church Youth Group, also in Bartlesville.
Joel was an avid basketball player and was currently the Manager of the Bartlesville Bruins basketball team. He loved to follow professional sports teams including OKC Thunder basketball team and the Houston Texans football team, amongst others.
Joel is survived by his parents, Kerrie Ragsdale and Joel Ragsdale Sr, along with his brother Kyle Ragsdale, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Joel leaves behind his maternal grandmother, Patricia Astley, his Aunty Paula, cousins Calum and Lucy, Aunty Nicky and Uncle Mark, of London, England. In addition, he leaves behind his paternal Uncle , William Ragsdale, of Sparks, NV.
Joel was preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandfather, Derek Astley, of London, England and his paternal grandmother, Katherine Ragsdale, of Virginia.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Stumpff Funeral Home, 1600 SE Washington Blvd in Bartlesville.
His funeral service will be held on Friday 6th January 2016 at 2:00pm in the Stumpff funeral home chapel. A reception will follow the service and will be held at 624 Brookhollow Ln. in Bartlesville.
Open viewing hours will take place on Thursday, January 5th 2016 between 4-8pm at the chapel.
