Janet Leona Rader was born April 26, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Nellie Lucille (Hoffman) and James Leroy Bobbitt. She passed away June 10, 2020 at her home in Hammon, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 15 days.
Jan grew up in the Anthony Community of Beaver County Oklahoma where she helped on the family’s dairy farm. Jan had two children during her first marriage, a son Stan and a daughter Dana. She later married Tony Rader in Kelton, Texas on July 15, 1976, and gained 5 more children during this union. After their marriage they made their home in Hammon, Oklahoma. Jan and Tony purchased the T&J Drive-In in 1978 and operated it together for 16 years. Jan took pride in driving a school bus for the Hammon School District for many years. Jan was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend of many. Jan enjoyed cooking, gardening, tending to the chickens and making flower arrangements for the church. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Red Moon Culture Club, and enjoyed playing Bunko with her friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, J.L. and Nellie Bobbitt; brother, Jimmy Bobbitt; sister, Myrtle Timpe and one grandson, Dustin Karber.
Jan is survived by her husband of 44 years, Tony, of the home; her children, Stan Karber and wife, Marva, Cheyenne, OK, Dana Walker and husband, Kevin, Perryton, TX, Pam Jamison, Buchanan, VA, Ted Rader and wife, Cheryl, Buchanan, VA, Kim Musgrave and husband, Donald, Roanoke, VA, Paul Rader, Chesapeake, VA and Tony Rader, Jr. and wife, Lisa, Tulsa, OK; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Joy Bobbitt, Booker, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held Monday, June 15, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Hammon. Arrangements are under the direction of Chris Whinery and the staff of Affordable Cremation Service-West. Condolences can be made online at www.classicfunerals. com.
