April Putnam, born April 7, 1969, passed from this life on February 8, 2016. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home and a funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 3:00pm at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater, OK.
April was born and raised in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She attended Sunday school as a child at Bible Baptist and later in life was baptized into the Mormon Faith.
She was your typical tomboy. She loved drawing, music, scary movies, fishing, and all kinds of animals. She also loved spending time with and playing games with her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She had many friends, the best and closest being her husband and Jesus Christ.
She was free-spirited, never judged a book by its cover, and was loyal to the bone. She wasnt rich or famous, but she had a heart of gold.
April was preceded in death by her grandparents; father, John Slavens; brother, Dale Sharpton; two nephews, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
April was survived by her mother, Connie Sharpton of Stillwater, Ok; her step-mother, Carletta Slavens of Perry, Ok; husband, Travis Putnam of Perry, Ok; five children: Michella Bush-Hammock and husband Wesley, Michael Bush and wife April, Amanda Bradley and husband Buddy, Travis Putnam Jr. and wife Shawnee, and Anissa Putnam and husband Pablo; siblings: Doug Sharpton and wife Regina, Steve Sharpton and wife Dana, Tesa Givens and husband David, Jason Slavens, and Crystal Collins. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
