Lance Brandon Purcell
August 19, 1980 ~ January 28, 2023

From hilarious laughter to valleys few understand and to mountain peak insight and peace, Lance Purcell lived his earthly life, now lived.

Lance Brandon Purcell, age 42, was born in Stillwater Oklahoma to Roy Lon Purcell and Robbie Levy on August 19, 1980. Lance graduated from Yale public schools in 1999. While there he played football and was the team quarterback. He played catcher for his school baseball team as well as American Legion Baseball team. He was a member of the Yale Church of Christ and was actively involved with the church youth group.

Lance did his college undergraduate degree at Tulsa Community College and Harding University, Searcy, Arkansas. He did his Masters of Divinity work at Oklahoma Christian University of Science and Arts in Edmond Ok.

Lance joined Park Plaza Church of Christ in Tulsa OK and served as a College Minister for several years.

In his later life he was confirmed in the Episcopal Church at St Patrick's in Broken Arrow, Ok. He served at Iron Gate Grocery Pantry, a mission of Trinity Episcopal Church, Tulsa Ok.

He is survived by his Father, Roy Lon Purcell, his mother, Robbie Levy and Step-Father, Scott Levy, Sister, Holly Lansdown and Brother-in-law, Chris Lansdown, Nephews, Luke and Trenton, Niece, Isabella Lansdown. He is preceded in death by his Maternal and Paternal Grandparents.

We celebrate Lance’s life to come as well as his life already lived. In gratitude we offer Lance back to God who created him as we eagerly await our shared adoption, the redemption of our bodies (Romans 8:23).

Lance Brandon Purcell passed from this life on Saturday, January 28th, 2023 at the age of 42. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4th, 2023 at the Yale Assembly of God.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lance's name to Mental Health Association Oklahoma, 5330 E. 31st, Suite 1000, Tulsa, OK, 74135.
