Cherokee - Chase Robert Puffinbarger, age 27, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023.

Chase was born on June 23, 1996, in Alva, the son of Chris Hobson and Lloyd (Chub) Puffinbarger. Chase attended Cherokee High School and graduated in 2015. He continued his education at Northwest Technology Center in Alva where he received a certification in Auto Body. Chase attained many achievements and accomplished so much in his life with the adversity he was given at a young age. He is the loving father of Margaret Lorene Ann Puffinbarger and Waylon Robert Lee Puffinbarger.

Chase loved spending time with his children and Becca. He enjoyed traveling, floating the river and tinkering with cars. Chase was employed at Napa Auto Parts in Alva. He enjoyed helping customers and working with his co-workers.

Chase is survived by his mother, Chris Hobson and husband, Kenneth; father, Lloyd (Chub) Puffinbarger; two children, Margaret and Waylon Puffinbarger and mother, Rebecca Matlock; siblings, Erica Goodwin and husband, Robbie, Elicia Puffinbarger, Cassie Sanborn and husband, Brandon Reddy, James Sanborn and wife, Crystal Sanborn, and Jessica Sanborn; Grandma, Phyllis Puffinbarger; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry Lee Puffinbarger and aunt, Ladona Puffinbarger.

A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Cherokee on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. A love fund in his name has been established at ACB Bank.
