Becky Puetz, age 67, of Paoli passed away peacefully on September 27, 2023.
Becky Jolynn Goodman was born on April 19, 1956 in Monroe, Louisiana, the oldest of three children born to Ewing William Goodman and Shirley Fay Goodman (Van). She spent her childhood in Louisiana, where she attended school and graduated in 1974.
She later moved to Norman, Oklahoma, where she met a young man named, Gary Wilfred Puetz. They lived in the same apartment complex when they met, and the rest as they say is history. The two were married on July 20, 1989, and went on to raise four children together. Becky was a woman of God and put that first in everything she did. She accomplished many things in her life, but her greatest joy was being a wife and mother. After owning her own business for many years, she retired and resided in Paoli and was a homemaker. She did anything and everything for her family. She loved to cook and loved trying new things and everything she made was absolutely delicious. She was famously known for her turkey and dressing and her beans and meat. Cakes were her favorite to make. She loved gardening and being outdoors. More than anything, Becky was a family woman. She loved spending time with her family, and truly cherished every moment with them. She taught us all things are possible with God. Becky was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Ewing and Shirley Goodman and husband, Gary Puetz.
Becky is survived by: her daughters, Angela Puetz of Paoli, Michelle Lennon of Purcell, and Marcee Day of Pauls Valley; sons, Jimmy Summers of Purcell and Jason McDaniel (Julie) of Purcell; sister, Ronda Goodman of West Monroe, Louisiana; brother, Rod Goodman (Tonya) of Shawnee; 13 grandchildren, Melissa, Brandon, Tyler, Aaron, Ashley, Brittany, Blake, Payge, Riley, Kaley, Shane, Kaleb, and Myra, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 12:00 P.M. Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Paoli Pentecostal Church, 413 Oklahoma Street Paoli, Oklahoma 73074
