Bill "PeeWee" Pritchett, age 71, of Gatesville, Texas, formerly of Enid, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018.
Funeral services with Masonic Rites will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2018, Scott's Funeral Home in Gatesville, Texas, with the Rev. Charlie Cahee officiating.
Bill was born on April 30, 1947, in Enid, Oklahoma, to the late Bill and Virginia Gibson Pritchett.
He grew up in Enid, Oklahoma, and graduated from Enid High School in 1965. He attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, Oklahoma.
He married Bobbie (Wilson) Harris on October 29, 1996. He resided in Enid, Oklahoma, all of his life, until moving to Gatesville, Texas, in 2017.
He worked at Vance Air Force Base as a fuel lab technician from 1969 until his retirement in 2012.
He loved his job, but music was his passion. He had the longest running "Oldies Radio Show" in northwest Oklahoma, playing 50's and 60's music, where people from all over called in their requests. He dearly loved playing music for everyone and is playing music for and telling jokes to Jesus now.
His wife Bobbie could be seen accompanying him to his many "D.J. side gigs" at wedding receptions, car shows, dances, July 4th celebrations, and anywhere else he was asked to play his music. He didn't much care for country music, but many brides requested it, so he played it anyways.
He was an avid joke teller and loved western movies and rock and roll music.
Bill was a member and Past Master of the Enid Lodge #80 Grand Lodge of Oklahoma A.F. & A.M., as well as a member of the Scottish Rite, the York Rite, Order of Eastern Star, Chapter #39 and Akdar Shriners in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bill was affectionately known as "PeeWee the Shriner Clown."
Bill is survived by his wife, Bobbie Pritchett of Gatesville; one son, Walker Pritchett on campus at O.S.U. in Stillwater; four daughters, Kristi Semrad and husband, Jeffrey of Enid; Bobbi Williams and husband, Herb of La Vernia, TX; Rebecca Massey and husband, Russell of Manassas, VA; and Francine Reaville and husband, Brad of Enid; four brothers, Bobby Pritchett and wife, Susie of Enid; Noble Pritchett and wife, Sharon of Tulsa; Steven Pritchett of Enid; and David Pritchett of Enid; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
As PeeWee would say, "No matter where you go or who you talk to, you know I love you."
